The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary is a community of love. By the work of the Holy Spirit Jesus was formed as a man with a human heart in the womb of the Virgin Mary. The two Sacred Hearts were united from the beginning in a marvelous way.
St. John Eudes united devotion to the Heart of Jesus to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and was also supported by St. Margaret of Alacoque and later by Pope Pius XII, who taught that “to draw more abundant fruits from the cult of the Heart of Jesus, the faithful must unite it to devotion to the Immaculate Heart” (Haurietis Aquas).
